Quiana Alsabry's life and career reflect a deep commitment to community, family, and the well-being of others. Born and raised in Brunswick County, North Carolina, and currently residing in Columbus County, Quiana's upbringing in the small town of Bolivia instilled in her the values of family and community, lessons she carries with her to this day.
Quiana's educational journey led her through the Brunswick County School system, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts in early child development from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. Her dedication to education and child development aligns with her role as a mother to her son, Messiah, a role she considers her greatest accomplishment.
In addition to her role as a mother, Quiana has actively participated in various community organizations, showcasing her passion for service. As the Young Adult President of the Brunswick Waccamaw Baptist Association, choir president for Zion Hill Baptist Church, and a member of the NAACP, Quiana has consistently demonstrated her commitment to making a positive impact.
Professionally, Quiana is employed with the Community Support Agency, where she serves as a Qualified Professional/Case Manager. Additionally, her involvement with the Columbus County DREAM Center involves facilitating programs such as Powerful Parenting and the NETworX program, addressing generational poverty through small group facilitations.
Quiana's passion extends into mental health advocacy, where she brings both her child development degree and extensive mental health experience to the forefront. She embraces a holistic approach to her work, aiming to break stigma, foster healthy parent-child relationships, and design impactful programs.
Joining H.E.A.R.O., Quiana is eager to contribute her skills to ensure a brighter future for caregivers and their children through comprehensive support services. Her unwavering passion for community and people is evident in her dedication to serving others, making her a valuable asset to any initiative focused on the well-being of individuals and families.
